Rep. Al Green has filed H. Res. 415, calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors. The resolution accuses Trump of authoritarian actions, violating due process, defying court orders—including Supreme Court rulings—and threatening the separation of powers.
Green says Trump’s actions endanger democracy and show he is unfit for office. He is the second Democrat to file impeachment articles this year, following Rep. Shri Thanedar.
Trump was previously impeached twice but acquitted by the Senate both times.
