Video shows what appears to be 4 to 5 guns pointed at 21-year-old Tye Anders as he lay in a front yard with his hands up.
In a statement, police claim “Anders failed to stop at a stop sign and then continued in his vehicle until he arrived at his grandmother’s home on Pine Street.”
When Anders exit the vehicle, instead of walking toward the officers he laid on the ground.
In the background, police can be heard telling Anders to listen to them with guns drawn. At the same time, family and friends are saying “he’s scared, you have guns on him. He’s black. Do y’all not see how many black people getting shot. He’s only 21, of course, he’s scared.”
It was then an elderly woman, Anders 90-year-old grandma, walked towards Anders and shielded her grandson.
When officers approached Anders to arrest him you can see an officer shoving the 90-year-old out the way. Seconds later, you can see her being violently taken down. You can hear family members in the background saying, “You pushed her.” This clearly shows she was pulled violently to the ground.
This officer should be fired!!!
