Police are searching for the killer who murdered a store clerk in Oak Cliff during a robbery Monday night.
Dallas police confirmed the killer entered the Dollar General store on Sunnyvale Street around 7 p.m. They say he pulled out a gun and demanded money. As the female clerk reached for money, he shot her in the chest, then took off. It’s unclear if the shooter managed to take anything.
The clerk died of her injuries at the hospital.
Police say the killer was a black man, wearing a black bandana and all black clothing. He was last seen running west from the store, down a side street, possibly with an accomplice who served as a lookout.
Officers are reviewing surveillance video, in hopes of making an arrest.
