A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a mass shooting incident in South Dallas, where multiple shots were allegedly fired into the air, endangering the lives of numerous individuals.
The incident occurred during the early hours of April 14 on Collins Avenue, amid a large gathering that spilled onto the street. Investigators believe that the gunfire erupted after one individual initiated the shooting, prompting others to join in. Tragically, nine people were struck by bullets, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Coriesha Bradford.
According to details provided in an arrest warrant affidavit, witnesses informed law enforcement officials that a man known as “Boozie” was involved in the shooting. Described as wearing all red attire with red beads in his hair, “Boozie” was identified through a social media video by investigators as 28-year-old Christopher Jones.
Jones was taken into custody over the weekend and now faces charges of deadly conduct and possession of methamphetamine in connection with the incident.
