A protest was held at the George Allen Court Building in downtown Dallas. The civil rights leaders and citizens were there to support Judge Eric Moye. He’s the Dallas judge who jailed salon owner Shelley Luther.
Gov. Greg Abbott retroactively changed his safety orders to make Luther’s actions not punishable by jail time, and the Texas Supreme Court freed her.
