Former WNBA All-Star Cappie Pondexter has reportedly gone missing after being arrested for battery. Pondexter was reportedly arrested for battery Tuesday, according to Madeline Kenny of the Chicago Sun Times.
Police were alerted that Pondexter hadn’t been heard from in days, and she was declared a missing person. It was eventually discovered that Pondexter did not have her identification, and refused to give her name to police, causing her to be booked as “Jane Doe,” according to TMZ. Because of that, police filed a missing person’s report Wednesday night.
While news of Pondexter’s arrest indicated she had been found, Pondexter reportedly went missing after being released from police custody Thursday, her spokesperson told TMZ.
The WNBPA sent out a tweet asking that anyone with information on Pondexter’s disappearance please contact the authorities.
